Title: District Sales Manager

Reports to: Director of Store Operations

Supervises Direct Reports: Yes

Position Objective

Responsible for leading and motivating Store Managers of multiple store locations and Area Managers in specifically assigned areas to deliver sales goals, KPI goals and profit contribution in all store locations. Oversees daily and weekly running of stores ensuring brand standards are met in all areas of the business detailed below while establishing and maintaining a culture that exceeds clients’ expectations.

Functional Responsibilities

Client Focus

Participate in store experience acting as a role model when responding to client’s needs; observe selling behaviors in stores to ensure service model is being delivered consistently; position team in every store that is client-centric and represents Everything But Water brand; understand the client and demographic in each store.

Attracting and Developing Talent

Proven ability to network, identify and maintain talent pool for current and future needs; train, develop and hold team accountable to Everything But Water standard; create a succession plan within the district; hold teams accountable for individual contribution based on roles and responsibilities ensuring sales goals are met; proficient at judging talent and is able to articulate strengths and opportunities to individuals.

Drive for Results

Lead store teams to deliver company sales and KPI goals; analyze business trends to identify opportunities and develop strategy to maximize sales; manage costs to deliver profit; control payroll within budget and inventory shrinkage to company goal.

Communication

Communicate with associates at all levels in a respectful and professional manner verbally and through email; participate effectively on conference calls; ensure team is updated on company directives and initiatives; feedback to corporate partners is global, factual and solution based; demonstrate good judgment knowing when to communicate verbally versus electronically.

Operational Excellence

Support company policies, procedure and guidelines; make recommendations where improvements can have a positive impact; ensure consistency throughout district through in-stores visits; company standards are met in all areas including merchandising, cleanliness and organization; all associates are trained in all areas of selling techniques as well as company policies and procedures.

Proven ability to challenge and motivate teams within a culture of mutual respect; foster support to build an environment of trust, teamwork and positive work environment; support and lead team through new initiatives; adapt management style as needed; objectively and consistently make decisions in the best interest of the business while treating all associates fairly.

Qualifications

Total 7+ years of retail store management required with minimum of 3 years multi store management

BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred but not required

Fashion Sense

Strong verbal and written skills

Able to travel to multiple stores that may include overnight travel

Flexible schedule to work based on business needs

Knowledge of retail math and basic computer skills

Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
