This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Corporate Banking business team within Santander covering the London and South East.
The successful applicant will work with the Divisional Managing Director for London and South East to roll-out and implement the SCB Service/ Engagement /Risk and Operations strategy across the Division.
They will act as the main contact within the Region for all Risk, Service Operations issues covering six teams within the London and South East and will interact with the Regional Managers across these businesses to ensure that they are meeting all of their ''Balanced Business Scorecard'' objectives within Risk, Service and Operations.
This role is critical to the success of Santander Corporate Bank and our vision to achieve 15% Market Share by 2013. This will suit a candidate with an existing track record in business performance focused roles and a pragmatic and proactive approach.
As a Divisional Risk Operations and Service Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Business understanding and acumen with knowledge of service levels, risk and operations.
- Corporate / commercial banking experience is a must.
- Strong Project Management and deployment skills, analytical and strategic view.
- Creative and innovative in the use of technology and media with the ability to create communications which engage, involve and connect with all levels of the business.
- Outcome driven with delivery focus - able to create and implement solutions.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with internal and external groups at all levels.
- Strong customer focus.
As a Divisional Risk Operations and Service Manager your main responsibilities will involve:
- Management of the regional resource plans, ensuring budgets and headcount targets are met.
- Manage local training and development requirements, ensuring that all training it fits with the values whilst taking into account the overall Santander Brand.
- Within UKCB develop a network of contacts to improve skill levels and liaise with internal stakeholders and develop integrated plans where necessary.
- Take ownership of the Regional Service Plans and will work with the Service Values team to ensure that appropriate actions are being taken to resolve identified issues.
- Maintain and update heath safety records, ensuring that all monthly/6-monthly checks are performed across the Region.
- Ensure that all individual business continuity plans are kept up to date and periodically arranging for telephone cascade testing to take place.
- Act as a point of contact for Data protection/security. Ensuring that all businesses adhere to all group policies on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure that all incidents and operational losses are accurately reported in line with the Group incident reporting policy.
- Report to the central Risk and Operations team any risks or issues to ensure the accuracy of the Risk Self Assessment document and monthly key risk reporting for the Region.
