DIVN Liaison SME Job in Washington, District Of Columbia Us
Defense Intelligence VSAT Network (DIVN) Liaison / Subject Matter Expert (SME) will assist the Government in the overall DIVN Program system management to include: systems architecture and planning, policy development, acquisition, logistics, funding, engineering and testing, configuration management, management of the DIVN Network Operations Service Centers, applications of Information Assurance and DIVN mission usage. This position reports directly to the DIVN Contract Program Lead (NG) in support of the DIA DIVN program manager.. This position requires communications engineering knowledge in the implementation of satellite Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) broadband technologies, Satellite Network Management Systems, and interfaces with terrestrial communications nodes and data networks. This postion requires knowledge in the development of satellite communications architectures and their corresponding logistics and support mechanisms for intelligence and operations missions world-wide. As SME this position requires direct contact and liaison activities with the Defense Intelligence Agency and their subordinate Regional Service Centers world-wide regarding DIVN capabilities, deployment feasability, technical and schedule limitations and host nation approvals; requires drafting and delivering high level briefings regarding all DIVN activities. Other responsibilites include all deployment processing for DIVN personnel globally through the Synchronized Pre-Deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) system.The primary work location for this position is DIA Headquarters, Bolling AFB, Washington DC.
