NETO - PE The Comcast National Engineering and Technical Operations (NETO) is looking for summer interns to participate in a challenging development program that aims to build your technical and professional skills while providing gaining exposure to key business and engineering leaders. The program recruits the best and brightest from top technical universities around the country. The program will consist of not only meaningful and challenging assignments but offer a number of developmental opportunities as well. The program components will include: - On-boarding event - Formal and informal group activities - Developmental programs - Performance assessment This individual would be responsible for learning the fundamentals of completing DNS and DHCP adds / changes / deletes. With this knowledge, they would look for innovative ways to automate / streamline processes and drive enhancements to the IPAM ticketing system by following the Agile methodology. In addition to IPAM ticketing enhancement responsibilities, this individual would be involved in finding efficiencies at an OS level for DNS services and assist with test case creation. Comcast Cable Tasks: - Opens, sorts, and distributes mail. - Processes routine items and records. - Answers phones and takes messages or provides information. - Operates various office equipment. - Assists with projects to ensure deadlines are met. - Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - Learn how to complete DNS DHCP adds / changes / deletes - Help identify efficiencies within the IPAM ticketing system - Learn agile methodology - Participate in auditing OS level DNS servers for efficiencies - Test Case User Story Creation (Agile) Requirements Requirements: - High School or Equivalent - - - Generally requires 0-2 years related experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Intermediate/Advanced experience with the Linux OS. - Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of networking technologies. - Experience with wireless technologies. - Creative, analytical team player with strong critical thinking skills. - Ability to lift over 50lbs Majors Preferred: Computer Science, Information Science Technology, Computer or other Engineering discipline Minimum GPA: 3.0 Comcast is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug-Free workplace employer.
