Position Summary:

Senior Site Specialist will work under the title of Dock Services Specialist.  This position provides dedicated service at customer’s facility which may include shipping, receiving, desktop delivery, customer point of use bins (remote inventories), mail management, chemical tracking, stockroom services, material handling and waste material handling.  Serves as a liaison between Fisher and the customer.  Establishes and fosters positive customer relationships.

 

 

1.     Independently makes decisions under guidance of Site Manager and utilizes available resources to meet customer requirements, which includes proficiency in Fisher Scientific procedures, customer systems and procedures., stockroom and material handling. 

2.     Utilizes advanced systems and performs the functions stated below:

·       Operates  PeopleSoft system as required

·       CISPro (ChemSW), or designated chemical tracking software.

·       Operates mailroom equipment to include Pitney Bowes mailroom systems and sorters.

3.     Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Fisher.

4.     Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various customer and Fisher reports to ensure customer and Fisher requirements are met.

5.     Communicates with direct supervisor any customer issues or potential problems. 

6.     Attends required training sessions.

7.     Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

 

Preferred Experience and Education:

Candidate should be able to interpret IATA 49CFR regulations, prepare hazardous materials shipping papers, package hazardous materials, mark/label hazardous materials in accordance with IATA 49CFR regulations, IATA 49CFR shipping handling certifications, preparation of domestic international shipments (including FedEx, UPS, LTL etc.), receiving, chemical handling, experience in a laboratory environment, mailroom experience.

 

Minimum Requirements:

1.     Ability to read write and speak English

2.     Extensive walking to and from customer points

3.     Proficient verbal and written communication skills

4.     Basic computer skills/Microsoft office.

5.     Ability to work overtime.

6.     Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.

7.     Ability to operate material handling equipment, i.e. power and manual pallet jacks, fork lifts, and light material handling equipment.

8.     Some areas may require steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses

9.     Depending on area of building, cleanroom garments may be worn to include coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets and/or vinyl gloves to avoid product contamination

10.   Carry and respond to a mobile phone or pager

11.   Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and enhancements
