Documentation Specialist II/III

Job Description: Leads and performs the activities involved with preparing complex technical manuals and other program materials (text book and web based) from electronic source data, other material and input from development teams. Has responsibility for the completed document and for overseeing updates, drafts, and final copies of all documentation. This position can be a Salary Grade N75 or N85 based upon the candidates qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position Required Skills: Minimum five years of technical writing experience preparing documents, reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences including senior management; Experience in effectively formatting/editing technical publications to include writing, editing, and illustration; Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Project; Experience with Rational products desired; In-depth experience with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database software required. A grade/level N75 position requires a minimum of 5 years experience A grade/level N85 position requires a minimum of 8 years experience Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI with a poly clearance required. Desired Education (including Major): Candidate shall have an Associate's Degree in Computer Support Technology, Electronics Technology, Telecommunications Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Network Engineering.
