Department Overview:
 
Yahoo!’s performance network is a key priority for the UK market in 2012. The market is more challenging than ever before with DSP’s, Trading Desks, Exchanges and Ad networks all part of the new eco-system.
 
In the DR Specialist role it is imperative we have someone who can simplify the complexities of the marketplace and articulate Yahoo!’s positioning, product strength and technological prowess within this competitive landscape.
This person will work closely with the local Sales team and Display DR Marketplace teams (e.g. DR Analysts, DR Marketplace, Media Buying) dedicated to drive the Y! performance network with the ultimate objective of exceeding revenue targets and gaining market share. Specifically, the role will be responsible for managing and developing key client accounts aiming to maximise revenue coming into Yahoo! from Media agencies through delivering the DR solution Yahoo! offers. Moreover, the DR Specialist will be the first port of call for salespeople who need assistance with client pitches, and general DR support and broader DR evangelisation.
 
Working within a team environment, this role offers the successful candidate the opportunity of joining a dynamic and energetic sales team.
 
The role will report directly into the Head of Sales in the UK and will be based in our Yahoo! office in London
 
Responsibilities:
 
- Developing and qualifying sales leads to convert to new business
- Proactively targeting and prospecting new clients
- Identifying needs and business objectives from clients in order to meet their business requirements
- Developing relationships with a number of key client contacts within agencies to identify and develop      further cross sell and up sell opportunities
- Respond to agency media briefs, service agency and client needs
- Work closely with internal Yahoo teams (such as DR Analysts, Media Buyers, Operations, DR Marketplace) to ensure the needs of the clients are met
- Working on ad hoc projects and supporting other teams and functions as necessary
 
Requirements:
 
- Solid understanding of the Yahoo Network (YN) and DR product
- Previous digital media sales experience ideally within a major portal or Ad Network
- Strong Analytical skills - a good understanding of analytics and interpretation of data as well as the core drivers of online advertising, marketing and direct marketing in particular
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Good knowledge of online media space
- Ability to take initiative
- Excellent relationship-building skills and capable of working in cross-functional teams
