Mechanical Drafter (Pro/E) Contract
Our client is a well-established Heavy Equipment Manufacturer based in the Surrey area.The company likes to foster a team environment with a real "work hard play hard attitude." The position is fast paced and requires someone who is quick to learn with minimal supervision required.
The Role:
The company is seeking an intermediate Mechanical Drafter for a 1 month contract to support a project currently in the testing phase.As the Mechanical Drafter, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the development of a new product line.The role may be extended beyond the 1 months period with potential to become permanent.
·Provide key drafting support creating mechanical drawings using 3D solid modelling software Pro/E and AutoCAD
·Deliver design drafting according to project timeframes
·Review deliverables and prepare design and detail drawings
·Maintain consistent design drafting standards for all projects
The Candidate:
Applicants for this role must have the following:
·Mechanical Technologists Diploma
·3-5 year solid modeling experience
·Intermediate to advance knowledge of Pro/E
·Experience with transmission, automotive or heavy industrial machinery is ideal
·Knowledge of Design fundamentals is desirable
·Good communication skills, both written and verbal
·Ability work in a time sensitive manner
