Job Title:       Driver/Facilities and Equipment Technician

Department: Event Department

Reports To:   Driver/Facilities and Equipment Manager

   

 

 

Summary

This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, responding to general maintenance calls, and troubleshooting/repairing the facility and/or equipment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


Responds to service calls for the facility and/or equipment on the road.
 
Evaluates condition of facility and/or equipment; updates the Driver/Facilities and Equipment Manager regarding conditions.
 
Performs routine preventative maintenance on facility and equipment.

 

Follows procedures to ensure all equipment is in working order. This includes following proper instructions to make sure specifications are met.

 

Drives semi-tractor/trailer to events.

 

Inspects vehicles for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating their condition.

Performing proper care and use/organization of all equipment (maintained (tires, general maintenance, etc.) and cleaned (wash/wax) prior to, during and after the event.

 

Maintains driver log according to I.C. regulations.

 

Attend events as needed to perform maintenance on equipment and/or vehicles.

 

Maintenance, set-up and teardown of event equipment and store structures.

 

Maintenance and cleaning of company vehicles.

 

Able to write routine reports and correspondence.

 

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience                                          


Two to three years of maintenance experience and equipment repair.


High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade training a plus, but not required. 

 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Requires knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical equipment; diesel tractor-trailers,


Skilled to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals. 


Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.


Must be extremely organized.


Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, diagrams, etc.


Must have attention to detail.

 

Training Requirements


General Safety


Class A CDL


Foundation knowledge on MainGate’s systems, policies and procedures.

None

 

Physical Demands


The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. 


Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and bend and move about the facility and/or other off-site locations.

 

Personal Protective Equipment


Proper protection may be required while performing specific tasks.

 

Work Environment


Works in a variety of different elements including: office, warehouse, outdoor, etc.


Exposed to dust, odors, noise.


Environment is not always climate controlled.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions while working lengthy hours in any given day, week or event.
