go top TASC is seeking a qualified DSP Applications Developer. The work location is in the in Vienna, VA. area. The qualified professional requires a highly technical DSP algorithm developer to join our world class team of signal processing engineers. The qualified applicant will become part of TASC's Media Analysis Team. Roles Responsibilities: Perform DSP application development using a variety of algorithms for sound and image processing functionality. Create software applications and DSP centric utilities using at least one of the following: MATLAB, C++, PYTHON or similar programming language Evaluate external signals processing tools for use in growing the DSP technical capability Create analytical reports for a variety of customers using plots, graphs, and other appropriate data visualization display tools Required Skills Minimum Qualifications: TO QUALIFY, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE To be considered for this position, candidate is required/must meet the following areas in knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below with 2 to 5 years of experience: Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following: Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline 2 years experience using DSP tools, such as MATLAB, Python, OCTAVE, or similar Preferred knowledge in researching, prototyping, experimenting and or developing image processing algorithms. Experience working with audio frequency data, i.e. FFT centric signal processing tools. Interest in pattern recognition and/or computer vision research Firm understanding of basic and advanced signal processing concepts such as filtering and frequency domain analysis, performed on images and/or sound data sets. Experience using Microsoft office programs Ability to write technical analytical reports Highly fluent in English with the ability to write clearly and concisely Willingness to expand horizons to other analytical areas Willingness to operate in a fast pace, highly fluid environment Must have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to others. Required Experience Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills are highly desired: Matlab experience, DSP toolkit or Image Processing Toolkit OpenCV knowledge or Interest Object oriented programming experience Master's Degree in a related discipline Experience incorporating or implementing video/audio processing algorithms in software applications TO QUALIFY, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE
