DSP Engineer (Digtal Signal Processing) – Southampton
Digital Signal Processing Engineer required to join a fast growing technology company based in Southampton on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone who have experience of developing communication, radar or acoustics algorithms using a range of real-time platforms in a development and/or product environment.
The successful DSP Engineer with be talented in algorithm development, modelling, digital subsystem design and real-time development. With good embedded software and/or FPGA development skills. Here you will be involved in providing expertise in digital signal processing for projects and bids, provide estimates for project deliverables, technical leadership and support. You will need to maintain an understanding and awareness across new DSP technologies and methodologies.
To be considered for this position, you will have most of the following:
• Degree qualified (2.1 or above) or equivalent in relevant engineering, scientific or technical-based discipline.
• Strong DSP (digital signal processing) algorithm development skills in the area of Communications, Acoustics or Radar
• Experience of algorithm modelling
• Experience of Embedded C/C++
• Experience of high-speed real-time software development and DSP platform knowledge (e.g. TI OMAP C64, ADI TS202, Picochip array)
• Experience of using configuration management tools, awareness of differing lifecycles and associated methodologies.
