DTS Technical Support Analyst Job in Stafford, Virginia US

Bachelor's Degree (BS/BE/BA) and 5 years relevant/related training and technical support experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education.

Proficiency with the MS Office suite required. A working knowledge of web-enabled systems is desired.

Job Description:
URS is seeking a Defense Travel System (DTS) Technical Support Analyst.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS) processes and technical issues.

Responsibilities will include conducting training for Marine Corps users, delivering presentations and classes, updating and developing training materials, assisting in implementing DTS at Marine Corps installations, and conducting/supporting studies and trend analyses. Responsibilities will also include providing technical assistance (in help desk fashion) which entails receiving, responding to, and resolving phone calls, emails and other correspondence requesting DTS assistance, as well as problem identification and resolution, as tasked. Candidate is expected to independently research and follow-through on requests for assistance as appropriate. The ability to work closely with the customer and user community is essential. On occasion, candidate will assist with developing or updating Manpower Information Systems (MIS) life cycle management documentation, i.e. plans, strategies, correspondence, and briefs, and act as an SME at working groups, meetings, and other forums that support customer requirements. The successful candidate will be a team player, engaging extrovert, able to demonstrate initiative and follow through, possess excellent written and verbal communication, and task coordination and resolution skills.

Position requires up to 30% travel. Most travel is within the U.S.
