Due Diligence Analyst recruitment

Albourne’s clients have more than $230bn invested in hedge funds.

Albourne’s operational due diligence advisory service is a core part of the business. The operational due diligence team has 40 dedicated staff responsible for evaluating the orgnaisational and operational controls of hedge fund managers. The team is currently recruiting an additional full-time employee in its London office to service the growing list of industry leading clients.

Job Summary:

This role will be to support the Operational Due Diligence Team in the analysis, review and monitoring of fund operational processes and risk, and make recommendations to clients. The candidate will review documentation, contact service providers and attend operational due diligence visits, and will write reports based upon our reviews. After a period of time the candidate will be assigned responsibility for reviewing specific funds.

Accountabilities:

• Primarily assist with review and interpretation of financial statements, offering documents, and other fund literature.

• Liaise with fund service providers to ensure timely receipt of information on the funds.

• Attend onsite operational due diligence meetings and write reports based on the meeting and other documentation available.

• Prepare clear, concise reports and recommendations to clients on a timely and accurate basis. 

• Liaise with clients and funds with respect to due diligence enquiries.

• Ensure internal databases are maintained up to date with current information

• Participation in project work to support the due diligence process.

• General support to the Operational Due Diligence analysts as needed.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to demonstrate relevant prior work experience within the hedge fund industry (for example, prime brokerage, fund administration, regulatory audits, hedge fund operations.)

• Must have authorisation to work in the UK.

• Candidate should already have, or be willing to study for the CFA or CAIA qualification.

• Graduate or equivalent with high quality degree from good university.

• Proactive self-starter, proficient at time management and multi-tasking.

• Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills.

• Writing skills with a good eye for detail are essential.

• Ability to travel overseas as required.

• Systems literacy (excel, word, PowerPoint, email).

• Will have to comply with Albourne’s ethics and compliance policies.

• Will be required to pass regulatory/industry examinations as part of ongoing competence assessments.
