Role Overview:
Amdocs is looking for a Development Expert to join our data warehousing team. Main responsibilities include:
Responsible for the data analysis, design and solution architecture for data warehouse applications
Create conceptual, logical and physical database models as well as process and data lineage diagrams
Create application design and high level design based on customer?s requirements
Generate data analysis and profiling to support ETL design
Work closely with ETL developers to assist them with development life cycle
Ensure that necessary metadata repositories are developed and that they meet the current needs and provide flexibility for future growth
Ensure that proper documentation is created and maintained according to standards and procedures
Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members
Requirements:
Experience designing the architecture of DW and BI solutions in a multi-terabyte environment
Excellent knowledge of dimensional and relational modeling
Excellent data analysis skills
Working knowledge of data modeling tools - ERwin required
Working knowledge of Teradata architecture is highly desired
Should be familiar with SQL, Teradata SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting
Working knowledge of Informatica or other enterprise class ETL tools
Preferences:
Working knowledge of relational databases (Teradata, Oracle 10g, 11g)
Working knowledge of telecom business processes and KPI's is a plus.
