Key accountabilities
Manage multiple DCS migration teams to carrying out detailed planning and migration activities from Classic environment to DCS. Overall responsibility for the migration of customer landscapes to DCS. Effectively manager a team ensuring that; - communication is efficient and well structured: briefing, targets, regular follow up and acceptance - Maintain a leadership role for team members by influencing teams and sub-teams with high-level guidance, management- and methodological guidance - Solve complex and unique operational problems - Proactively ensure customer satisfaction - Cascade up the management chain major risks /issues that affect the business or customer that will impact on a major scale - Responsible for incident, problem, change (Incl, maintenance) and escalation management within the commissioned scope of service and area - Responsible for asset and configuration management - Operational interface to the SDM/OPM for the commissioned scope of services - Plans, controls and is responsible for the provision of scope of service within the specified time/quality/costs - Responsibility for specialist content of the technical/operational concept including cost calculation against the SDM/OPM - Support and advise the SDM/OPM regarding the commissioning and cost optimization - Plans and develops measures for increasing efficiency in agreement with the OPM/SDM and is responsible for implementing these. - Responsible for the commissioned service line and managing the matrix or standard structure - All Employees are involved in, and share responsibility for, promoting and implementing security within T-Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage multiple DCS migration teams to carrying out detailed planning and migration activities from Classic environment to DCS. • Responsible for the setup of the migration teams including recruitment and training • Overall responsibility for the migration of customer landscapes to DCS including o Working with SI to carry out the analysis of the customer environment and understand the requirements for DCS. o Responsible for the migration planning activity with the customer o Order management including the creation of the technical concepts o Migration implementation o Handover to operations • Interfacing with the international DCS Delivery teams (DPPT, DPOSS) to ensure consistent delivery • Requirement planning for new DCS capacity and working with the DPPT to ensure these requirements are delivered • Development of process and procedures for DCS delivery and migration using the UK infrastructure but aliening with international processes. • Work with SI, Networks and international DCS Delivery teams (DPPT, DPOS) to ensure that new system designs comply with company strategies, and are supportable. Be part of the process of developing new strategies for DCS migration. • Ensure operational assurance and readiness activities are carried post migration to ensure solutions delivered are supportable, engaging with relevant team leaders and process owners to ensure OLAs and SLAs are adhered to. • Ensure that the availability of team resources for project work is visible and is maintained and can be used for quick allocation of resources to projects and long term resource planning. • Initial UK escalation point for DCS delivery and migration issues and primary contact with the International delivery teams. • Understanding of HR policies, especially EDD, PCR, grievance and disciplinary procedures. • Be responsible for performance reviews and objective setting of all staff within team in line with company directives. • Work with Team Manager to ensure technical training needs of group are identified and met. • Define management goals and ensure that the output complies with the overall company strategy and the five guiding principles • Clarify the path for achieving goals: proactive communication of customer expectations, active sharing of knowledge (e.g. in-house media), support when necessary • Remove obstacles by providing necessary resources in a timely manner, and (if necessary) to impart knowledge or delegate to other stages • Provide support and monitor progress with regular follow-up sessions and/or with performance monitoring tools • Intra- and interdepartmental cooperation, working with team members and ensuring that tasks and operations comply with company strategies. • Gaining an understanding of how all the technical disciplines we employ interact, and how they can be utilised together to provide robust secure services for our customers. Gaining an understanding of how the different SDUs within T-Systems interact and the end-to-end intra T-Systems value creation process • Gaining an understanding of how T-Systems fits into DTAG and the value creation process
Skills/Experience Required
