E-Commerce Product Specialist
The Role:
- The focus of the role will be to sell and support E-Commerce applications deployed internally and externally to brokers and traders respectively.
- Manage all support issues regarding the screen. The role entails the management and monitoring of one or more platforms.
- The Product Specialist role is the “point person” for all product deployment / training and support issues.
- This will require a sound understanding of the Financial Derivatives market as well as the trading conventions and deal processes in particularly in FX market.
- Analyze customer needs, competitor offerings and provide direction to the company to improve the screen, based on client feedback.
- The prospective candidate will be articulate, outgoing and confident. The candidate must be self motivated, a good communicator, and be able to function effectively independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
The role is vital for the current and future use of the company’s E-Commerce applications and STP products. It requires thorough knowledge of the end user, broker, admin and technical administration functionality of the system.
The role is ad hoc where there are few set daily tasks and also requires a combination of proactive and reactive approaches. Proactive in seeking out new clients to install and reactive to respond to client queries.
Client Facing Tasks 70%
- Conduct ad-hoc product demonstration/ training sessions as required by brokers, broker management, operations and external clients through client meetings and office visits.
- Ensure users are kept informed of any new product developments, collate and escalate accordingly all new issues/ requests – ie: new asset /product additions, user functionality etc.
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships though client events and entertainment, trade shows and exhibitions.
- Respond and attend to user queries in a timely manner, through phone calls or on-site visits.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external users.
Administration / Daily Tasks 20%
- Active coordination with IT Operations to ensure local 2nd line product support.
- Compile reports as required to monitor application usage and activity
- Coordinate all New User / Institution Setup and Entitlements, E-Commerce applications Administration and Support.
- Ensure ownership of relevant Contacts databases, maintain and update its contents.
- Understand, own and address any problems that occur throughout the trading day as related to the system
Technology / STP Tasks 10%
- Active coordination with external Back Offices / Settlement Teams, address and attend to user queries.
- Active coordination with external IT Operations to ensure local 2nd line product support.
- Business relationship with Market Data Business / Regional IT Ops in Asia.
- Coordinate all Price, Trade and Market Data support processes escalation procedures.
- Coordinate all Trade Ticket and Voice STP support processes escalation procedures.
Requirements:
This role involves responsibility for the success of a broad range of activities, all of which require both working technology, and the support of the broking community for whom these tasks are not naturally a priority. Success requires ownership of multiple qualities such as planning, technology and people skills.
Key Competencies:
- Comfortable operating independently and within a team environment D
- Excellent communication and liaison skills E
- Experience in the use of trading related applications (e.g. Reuters / BBG / Microsoft) D
- Fluency in English Language (written and oral) E
- Self-motivated, resilient and demonstrate initiative takes ownership of issues E
- Understanding of Financial markets, specifically Fixed Income products (CDS/Bonds), FX and Equity Derivatives, and the related trading conventions and processes D
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a sales/market data and/or analytic/ transactional product role E
