E-Trading Support Analyst recruitment
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day technical support of the Fixed Income pricing / offering and execution system applications for European and Tokyo based trade floor users.
- Ensure incident and problem management, change management and request fulfilment on behalf of customers are carried out to the best levels possible.
- Understanding and documenting business requirements, proposing solutions to meet the business needs, managing the implementation of the solution, weighing priorities, managing client expectations, and resolving any issues that might arise.
- Project based work to promote the continual development of the technology workflows. These will be based around Risk, Pricing, Customer quoting, Inter-dealer quoting, Trade Flow Analysis and Marketview platform architecture.
- Diagnosis and resolution of trade floor client issues and escalation of problems to the appropriate development teams, using the standard problem management tools (Teamforge and EMS).
- Liaison with other technical support services (i.e. UNIX system administrators, PC desktop, corporate network and market data support teams) to maintain interfaces with the e-trading platforms and other corporate systems.
- Interaction with business support groups (FI E-Commerce and Bond Portfolio Analysis (Quant) support groups).
- Support of offsite local trader disaster recovery and application platform disaster recovery testing.
- Project based work in areas such as COB, UA Testing/release co-ordination of new functionality.

- Business Development - This role in the E-trading team is very client facing and has a large amount of interaction with the Trading desk and E-Commerce so will be able to very quickly obtain a strong knowledge of the Fixed Income Bond Market both from a Rates and Futures perspective
- Technology development - extensive knowledge of the Marketview platforms and processes. These provide electronic trading functionality for the Fixed Income Front Office business groups for pricing analytics, offering generation and submission, automated response to customer enquiries, automated trade execution, automated hedging of orders and post trade feeds to downstream systems. Using some of the leading technologies i.e. KDB+ / Apama / .Net
Skills
- Acquire knowledge of the external electronic markets and exchanges used by Citigroup for Fixed Income Bond trading (i.e. MTS, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, BrokerTec, LIFFE and EUREX).
- The e-trading support team provides support for the main electronic trading platform MARKETVIEW and candidates will be expected to acquire knowledge of these environments also over time.
- Acquire knowledge of the corporate Linux / Solaris and WinTEL PC desktop environment for application deployment and delivery.
- Acquire knowledge of the CitiTech compliance management policies (CITMP).
Skills:
- Unix/Linux knowledge and practical usage. (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions).
- Unix or Perl scripting knowledge (preferable)
- Sybase SQL knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create adhoc SQL queries)
- Good all-round PC skills. (I.e. Windows OS / Networks / General Hardware)
- Experience of tech problem solving in a pressurized trading environment
- ION Marketview and ECN Trading (preferable)
Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience of supporting a MarketView platform is a major benefit
- Experience of 1st 2nd Line support of trading applications from a face to face perspective (NOT desktop support)
- Previous experience of providing support of Trading systems and trader communities.
- Previous experience of external electronic markets.
