About The Centre:
This 66 place service located in Bankstown is due to open in January of 2012. Catering for children aged 0 - 5 across 4 rooms, they pride themselves on providing high quality care and education in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.
The centre will cater for both mainstream and some additional needs children, and will provide the support and expertise of trained and experienced support workers and therapists.

About The Roles:
Early Childhood Teacher:
This position will be a room leader role working on a fulltime basis. You will be responsible for leading a team of up to 3 staff, while also working alongside a range of support workers including therapists and aides.
With the help of your trained assistants, you will be responsible for planning, programming, observations, evaluations and the daily running of your room.
You will have the support of your experienced centre director and a team of qualified, experienced staff.
Diploma:
This position will be working in either an assistant or room leader capacity depending on your experience and personal preference. You will be responsible for contributing to the weekly program, planning and observations, as well as the daily room routine and activities.
You will have the support of your experienced centre director and a team of qualified, experienced staff.
Certificate III:
This position will be working within the service as a float assistant. You will work across all rooms in the service to cover breaks, programming time, annual leave and RDO's.

Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will -
- hold their completed Early Childhood Teaching degree OR completed Diploma of Children's Services
- hold a current First Aid certificate
- be confident leading a team of up to 4 staff
- be experienced working with children aged 0 - 5 in a centre based environment
- be confident dealing with families, support staff and community members on a day to day basis
Ideally you will have some experience working with additional needs children, however this is not essential.
