Beautiful brand new centre within the Fairfield area requires an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join their team within the Pre-School room. This Centre prides itself on achieving great results everyday, where there is an abundance of support, work balance and resources to ensure the children are happy and flourishing. Staff at the centre also has the opportunity to further their skills and knowledge with in-service training and development.

The Teaching staff at the centre are highly knowledgeable and passionate about the development of all children within their care and have a strong vision in working with the philosophical approaches from Reggio Emilia. The Teachers at the centre use interest based learning, teacher as researcher, child teacher co-construction or knowledge and documentation that is inspired by reflective practice.


Details of the Role itself:

· Part Time – Permanent position (Initially Tuesday and Wednesday)
· Shift work – 09:00 – 4:30
· The ideal Candidate will have the scope to progress to a full time position

In order to progress with this role – it is essential that you are:

· Qualified Early Childhood Teacher
· Must be able to work on a part time basis and have the appropriate working visa.
· Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills in working with children
· A strong vision in working with the philosophical approaches from Reggio Emilia (the image of the child, 100 Languages of Children, children and teachers working together, co-constructors of meaning)
· Experience, knowledge and passion of/for interest play based learning
· Proven experience in reflective practice that is evident through documentation
· Creativity and willingness to embrace new learning
· Experience and knowledge of children with additional needs
· Ability to follow philosophy, policies, Code of Ethics, Regulations and National Quality Framework
· Work collaboratively with the Director and Management Committee
· Current first aid certificate
