Reporting to the Financial Systems Manager within the EASS department of Information Technology Services, you will work with project teams on innovative solutions that impact the experience of Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni and others within the USD community. As a hands-on developer, you'll be responsible for pro-actively implementing and taking ownership of system production issues and development projects in PL/SQL and other database related languages. You will be actively involved in new development, gathering requirements, preparing design documents, programming and testing of technical solutions. Acting as project lead for medium sized projects, you will manage the planning and execution of the project to ensure a successful completion. Furthermore you will provide oversight for the technical maintenance of Oracle E-Business Suite, Sungard Banner Student System, and various smaller vendor applications including interfaces to other systems and vendor upgrades.

Basic Qualifications:
Success in EASS requires a commitment to teamwork and communication. As a member of the team, you will promote teamwork, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. A qualified applicant will have the following:

• Software application development experience working with large software projects.
• Six to Eight years of experience as a Programmer/Analyst or equivalent in an information systems development environment.
• Six to Eight years of Technical, hands-on experience with Oracle e-business Suite
• Proven track record in developing and implementing strategies and work plans for providing Integrated ERP technology solutions, as well as keeping an ERP environment operating at optimal performance and responsive to future and current needs.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; strong customer service skills.
• Positive, proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to work independently as well as in a multi-role team environment.

Required Skills:
* 6-8 years PL/SQL development experience in Oracle 10g/11g environment *Strong knowledge of Oracle Relational Database Concepts * Experience with Linux, Windows Operating Systems * Experience in all components of software delivery
Experience with two or three of the following technologies is highly desirable: XML Publisher, Kronos, Sungard Banner, UNIX shell or similar scripting languages, Perl, Javascript, J2EE, Java, XML server side Java-based applications, HTML, SOA, Weblogic Application server or equivalent
