EBS Industrial Engineer (1382)
Location: Lewisburg, TN 37091

Description

  1. Time study new and existing lines to determine the bottleneck operation and calculate standard time.  List all types of waste and develop a plan to eliminate wastes and reduce the bottleneck operation.
  2. Capable of keeping all existing routings updated and entering in new routings into the ManMan system.
  3. Supporting Manufacturing Engineering on problem areas and determine how to improve the current line with either line balance, eliminate wastes, improve cell layout, etc…
  4. Reviewing building layouts with component line side storage, minimal walking in work cell, improvement ideas for good hand-to-hand product flow and capacity requirements.
  5. Developing and implementing process improvements for increasing efficiency for greater production output.
  6. Analyzing and improving manufacturing lines by creating more efficient flow by eliminating “non-value added operations”.
  7. Determining component storage requirements for manufacturing lines with most efficient ergonomic work cell layouts.  Detailed spreadsheet on components for each piece/tote/part number, quantity/tote/shift, quantity/day/technician/line requirements, etc... for line side inventory.
  8. Communicates frequently with internal and external contacts on various issues.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

This work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment.

The Industrial Engineer I position is responsible for performing time studies on the lines to determine bottleneck operations based on customer requirements, listing and analyzing improvement items per technician.  Position will work with Manufacturing Engineers on line uses to make the manufacturing floor more efficient.

 

Required Skills

Intermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
