ECB and German Economy Reporter – Frankfurt, Germany recruitment

Dow Jones Newswires and FX Trader is looking for an experienced reporter to join the Frankfurt-based team reporting on the European Central Bank and Germany’s economy. The position is at the heart of developments concerning Europe's sovereign debt crisis and requires a good degree of familiarity with the euro zone's economy and the complexities of monetary policy in a changing environment.  

The ideal candidate should have the ability to break news and provide insightful analysis on the economic and political trends affecting the central bank's response to the crisis, often at tight deadlines. The job may entail frequent travel, sometimes at short notice, to cover major European and international events.

Strong English-language writing skills are essential and good working knowledge of German language is desired. Other European language skills would also be helpful. The successful candidate should be prepared to serve a variety of platforms in a shared bureau with The Wall Street Journal's print and online edition as well as a German language service.
