While your job responsibilities may differ, the purposes are all the same: To make Meijer the best retail organization in the nation. Currently, Meijer is looking for a Sr. Web Merchant. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for significant eCommerce sales growth, leveraging the channel to reach new customers, and differentiate our assortment. A key leader in managing multiple merchants responsible for key categories and online growth. Primary metrics will be growth in net margin and vendor income. Key responsibilities include: Responsible for buying and managing a Key Category for the team encompassing existing assortment and new categories. Leads team in building and maintaining Strategic Vendor partnerships. Gives regular input into the Site Merchandising strategy for the department. Leads and manages the department level Promotional Calendar. Leads the team in conducting detailed Assortment and Category Reviews for all categories within the department. Sets and achieves short and long term goals for department Leads and develops a team of direct reports Works collaboratively across multiple teams to achieve department goals Serves as an ambassador for Multi-channel with internal and external partners Expert financial planning and forecasting skills Develops processes to position the business unit for long-term growth.
