eCommerce Business Analyst – FX recruitment

Business Analsyt - eFX. A leading Global Bank in Singapore is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join their team. Financial Markets eCommerce has defined an exciting strategy and aggressive product roadmap leading to 2013. The eCommerce system developments team is a specialist team responsible for the design and development of proprietary set of systems that will differentiate the bank in its core markets. eCommerce systems are aimed at numerous customer markets including:- external customers via the internet, sophisticated customers via API/point-to-point connectivity, internal users trading on behalf of customers around the globe and finally connectivity into multi-dealer platforms.

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part a project to build a large multi-asset ecommerce trading system.

The successful candidate is expected to provide business analysis, documentation (functional specs, etc), test design, execution, automation, coordination and project management support for Financial Market ecommerce SD function.

Provide subject matter expertise for design and testing of eCommerce offerings with particular emphasis on pricing FX instruments. Assist in the requirement gathering, development, testing and test management of tactical and strategic business initiatives for FM eCommerce and coordinating the business plans, policies, and processes in support of those initiatives. Assist in producing functional and testing requirements for eCommerce systems to serve all parts of FM and the wider SCB group where they wish to utilise FM functionality. In order to be successful the incumbent will become familiar with Financial Markets SD strategy and will work to achieve those business objectives.

Build, manage and maintain relationships with global and regional teams across the bank (including front office, product development, infrastructure, support and test functions). Reserve independence of judgment and display ability to quickly react to issues, understand impact and risks whilst working with multiple sets of priorities to make appropriate decisions and achieve results.

Key Roles Responsibilities

- Provide Business Analysis, testing and issue resolution during all project phases for new eCommerce initiatives. Evaluate the impact of developments - maintain knowledge of market practices, new initiatives, developments, regulatory change, monitor competition and provide advice on findings. Undertake strategic test planning - develop strategic, automated, testing approach for each service - in support of FM eCommerce strategy. Identify and analyse strategic testing opportunities globally. Track and measure the effectiveness of strategic testing initiatives. Identify gaps and actions required to deliver. Develop and implement effective solutions for business critical issues. Identify and analyse strategic opportunities globally and track and measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Drive regular testing review meetings and conduct proactive data analysis on all metrics.

Analyse, improve and enhance testing processes: Perform benchmarking amongst peers, gather and interpret competitor analysis. Perform end-to-end analysis of operational/testing processes and controls. Perform root-cause analysis of operational/testing exceptions and issues and identify key risks. Perform process and control reviews and propose and implement process enhancements. Produce detailed MIS / analysis enabling effective decisions to be made and progress to be assessed.

Support Business Integration: Perform due diligence visits whenever required. Perform analysis of operational processes, controls and gaps therein. Perform root-cause analysis of processes and issues.

Support repeatable testing: Champion and implement automation of testing at every opportunity. Ensure that testing cycles can be run by anyone; not just by testers.

Qualifications Skills: BA and testing analyst experience within the wholesale banking industry with specific experience in Foreign Exchange. Advanced experience of pricing FX trade types. Strong general knowledge of banking business systems and a deep understanding of risk and trade flows from front to back office systems. Strong analysis and analysis/testing skills ideally with some project management skills. Good understanding of industry best practices. Ability to establish and maintain a successful working relationship with all levels of the organisation whilst leading and motivating people that are not under direct line management. Outstanding communication, able to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors. Ability to assimilate conflicting ideas and perspectives and drive an appropriate solution. Customer oriented focused.
