eCommerce Business Analyst recruitment

You will act as key contact to help drive knowledge gathering and analysis. Working with the other Business Analysts assigned to the project to actively drive the development of future state functional models and ensure that these are captured in the requirements documentation. You will ensure that the project /programme testing covers the defined functional and product scope.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the project materials and deliverables:

• Assist in the capture of requirements. Develop and review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), ensuring requirements are decomposed properly into useable functional requirements and that handoffs and impacts on wider business areas are identified and mitigated

• Develop process flows and process maps to determine and verify business requirements and functional design.

• Help in the development and execution of test plans that will ensure business requirements have been met

• Actively contribute to issues and risks lists. Ensure all actions and agreements from design meetings resolve issues as needed

• Review documentation and provide feedback and ultimately sign off on Scope documents, BRDs, Success Criteria, Project/Migration and Conversion plans, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts.

Drive the change in Operating model:

• Ensure that current and future state are accurately modelled

• Drive the transition plan to manage the move to the new Operating model

• Ensure new procedures and processes are in place

• Drive the training development and delivery

Manage the relationships within the project:

• Support meetings with the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SME) to deliver specifics on requirements. Ensure that contact is maintained to track changes to requirements.

• Work with any 3rd party providers to ensure understanding of the Business Requirements

• Maintain an understanding of the different programmes of work in the product area, their requirements and the potential dependencies that will exist between them.

Facilitate the change process:

• Ensure that materials developed can be re-used especially when moving from requirements gathering to testing

• Understand the Change Management requirements of the proposed system / process changes and assist in designing a response to these. As required, utilize design tools to create screen and process mock-ups, help in the design and delivery of training, agree go-live criteria

• Assist in the organization and delivery of presentations to clients, users and other stakeholders

• Update project team on any new industry or regulation driven initiatives during course of the project

Candidate requirements

You will have:

• Practical experience in analysis, design and implementation on successfully implemented projects in the financial services industry.

• Familiarity with investment banking operations and workflows (Middle and Back Office) along with Knowledge of the supported/related business areas (Fixed Income, Derivatives)

• Strong demonstrable skills in change management and the demands of a complex, multi themed global programme

• Experience of compiling data, defining and documenting requirements. 

• Knowledge of rational and flow mapping tools.

• Knowledge of preparation, management and execution of test scripts (advantageous)

• The ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design

You will be:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, MS Project, VISIO, MS Access

• Competent in the use of business process modelling tools

• Proactive and capable of using own initiative and ability to assert oneself

• Able to sell ideas and concepts to gain ‘buy in’ from management

• Highly flexible and engaged with the ability to work under pressure
