This position will assist in the creation and management of demand/sales/returns forecast models. Prepares daily and weekly forecasts taking into account the impact of various marketing efforts including sales promotions and e-mail marketing. Utilizes the forecast data to accurately project fulfillment center operations. Creates reports to monitor accuracy of forecast and inventory availability to ensure that the forecast meets acceptable variance targets. Prepares ad hoc reporting in addition to base forecasting.

Statistically plans and forecasts for future merchandise buys based on historical buys, reoccurring buys, and current inventory levels as well as taking into account the impact of various marketing efforts including sales promotions and e-mail marketing to accurately project fulfillment center operations.

Develops strategic unit/item plans to include projection analysis for key items/classifications and sets flow strategies that ensures in-stock position, consistent flow of product, turnover objectives, and markdown and liquidation strategies.

Advises Planning and Finance leadership team on profitable line inventory management and planning affordable assortments to ensure alignment on sales, margin, and inventory by department, that support product and financial strategies for E-Commerce.

Collaborates with Merchandising team to develop and communicate strategies that drive sales and ensure proper product turns and placement on the site as well as align future financial and product opportunities in the area.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in Merchandising Planning with significant financial responsibility and at least 1-2 of those years in E-commerce
Preferred Requirements:
- Must be a creative thinker with strong Excel skills and a general understanding of database logic.
- Ability to negotiate with, and influence executives, peers and members of cross-functional team.
- Strong communication, written, negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills along with superior critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
