eCommerce Manager
Opportunity to join of the leading travel companies in its sector in this newly created digital role. Key responsibilities will be to develop and execute plans that will drive awareness, traffic, conversion and booking. The key focus of the role is to optimise the web conversion and traffic across the 3 sites.
The role will include:
- To deliver plans that ensure that the sites are optimal and driving visitors down the funnel towards online booking or call centre.
- To drive local online booking engine development with the aim of improving the user experience and thereby support direct business growth (with project team support)
- To work with the international and N. American teams feeding into the longer term globalisation
- To ensure that all online messaging is aligned to other channels within the sales and marketing mix to achieve consistent messaging in market and full optimisation of nvestment To ensure focus on strategic products.
- To ensure that all online promotional tools are optimised and with insight cost efficiently targeted in line with agreed measures. Channels include PPC, SEO, banners and social media
- To closely monitor the online marketplace playing close attention to travel innovation whilst being aware of other sectors and examples of good practice that can be built upon
- As online specialists within the business, the online team should support the planning of online co-op activity with high value trade partners and the training of the sales team in this key niche area
- To regularly carry out usability research to ensure UK user feedback is available to input into global developments and plans
We are looking for someone with significant eCommerce experience working for ideally an international brand, has overseen web development projects from a technical perspective and possesses expertise in driving sales and traffic to increae sales both direct and via trade.
