Responsibilities

Description:
A fundamental member of Moody's sales team, the Economic and Consumer Credit Analytics Specialist represents Moody's Analytics full suite of Economic and Consumer Credit products. This targeted sales position develops and executes strategies to grow existing accounts and acquire new accounts. The position includes prospecting for meetings, uncovering requirements and needs, communicating the value proposition of the products, and negotiating terms of the sale. The position will likely require 30% travel time.

- Meet or exceed assigned growth targets for renewable business and one-time sales.
- Take a results-orientated approach to contacting prospects and customers.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships, value and revenue
- Learn the products and know their application and benefits across different industries and job functions.
- Work in a coordinated fashion with a designated sales team to seamlessly present Moody's Analytics as the premium brand in the economic analysis and credit risk arena.
-Present the conceptual and practical value of our services to a wide variety of audiences - senior management, risk managers, market analysts, portfolio managers and economists.
- Attend and represent Moody's Analytics at conferences related to economics or credit risk.
- Stay current with economic developments as well as trends in the credit markets.
- Collaborate with staff in other departments such as Credit Analytics, Product Strategy, Economic Research, and Marketing to give client and market feedback.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field (business, communications, economics, finance, math/statistics/accounting); MBA and/or CFA a plus, but not required
- Minimum 8 years experience in sales; business development / client relationship, preferably in the financial markets.
- Strong face-to-face and consultative selling skills, and demonstrable track record of success in selling.
- Comfortable getting senior level meetings with new prospects by phone.
- Technical knowledge of, and/or experience in, banking, economics and/or the consumer credit market.
- Experience selling information products and analytic tools to banking and capital markets professionals
