Economic Analyst (Energy Sector) recruitment
Our client, a leading consultancy firm, is seeking a Economic Analyst (Energy Sector) to work within their team. The Economic Analyst (Energy Sector) will form part of a team responsible for developing long term energy supply and demand forecasts. These forecasts cover all fuels, including oil, gas, coal, nuclear and alternative energy sources such as renewables and biofuels. The Economic Analyst (Energy Sector) will be responsible for analysing and developing content for regional and country-level energy policy and regulatory trends, fuel-specific demand outlooks with commentary on inter-fuel dynamics and energy trade covering oil, gas, coal and electricity.
Responsibilities of the Economic Analyst (Energy Sector):
- Research and evaluate sources of information to determine the long-term energy supply and demand outlook for a particular country
- Prepare data to populate and run the energy markets country model
- Provide written analysis to support the long-term energy supply and demand outlook
- Develop knowledge of the energy industry for regions and countries of responsibility
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the energy markets offering
- Engage with clients and prospects to develop relationships and support business development activities
Background of the Economic Analyst (Energy Sector):
- Experience in an energy-related field
- Understanding of methods used to forecast energy demand
- Interest in understanding and analysing energy demand drivers as well as inter-fuel dynamics
- Strong understanding of the macro economic energy markets
- Strong written and analytical skills
