EcoNomics Sustainability Location Operations Director – Eastern Operations
Position Background
WorleyParsons EcoNomics service assists our customers to realize their sustainability goals, by integrating social, environmental and economic sustainability into project delivery. EcoNomics is one of WorleyParsons key differentiators, and is a core value in our project delivery philosophy. The EcoNomics Operations Director is charged with leading the delivery and growth of EcoNomics in the Eastern Operations location, including our Markham, Mississauga, Sarnia and St John’s offices.
Position Overview
The EcoNomics and Sustainability Operations Director is a senior role within the Eastern Operations management team, reporting jointly to the Senior Vice-President, Eastern Operations and to the Deputy Global Director, EcoNomics Sustainability. The position will integrate across our offices and Customers Sector Groups (Oil Gas, Mining, Power and Infrastructure), and includes directing the pursuit and delivery of sustainability objectives within projects up to and in excess of CAN$1b.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with location leadership to ensure that EcoNomics aligns with their business, client base and strategy,
- Work closely with the Business Development team to define strategy for the pursuit of key clients, using EcoNomics as a differentiator, as well as integrating into strategic account plans, and supporting key bids,
- Identify, develop and manage personnel and resources for delivery of sustainability services,
- Develop and deliver an annual business plan for the location, which aligns with the Canadian EcoNomics business plan and annual strategy as well as the needs of the location,
- Identify, develop and manage personnel and resources for delivery of sustainability services,
- Track appropriate metrics for EcoNomics projects (e.g. revenue, EBIT, project descriptions),
- Steward the proper application of EcoNomics within the WorleyParsons project risk processes,
- Continuing education of location staff,
- Act as a focal point for material required by location EcoNomics Sustainable Project Delivery Leads, business development staff, General Managers and Project Managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Masters’ or Doctorate Degree in science, engineering, finance or management relevant to environmental and sustainability work, from accredited curriculum,
- Demonstrates leadership and influence ability, with experience working with senior management and leading teams,
- High level of communication skills and customer focus,
- Experience with engineering project delivery, risk management, triple bottom line sustainability, environmental regulations or approvals processes are desired.
Reporting and Location:
- Position reports to the Senior Vice President, Eastern Operations
- Functional reporting is to Deputy Globaly Director, EcoNomics and Sustainability
