Economist within Hedge Fund recruitment

Initial requirements:

• Monitor, analyse, report, and advise on economic, political and financial developments across the globe

• Formulating forecasts of future economic developments

• Identifying economic trends and analysing their impact on the market and fund’s portfolio

• One will in turn have a strong input in both investment decisions and portfolio construction

• The candidate will also be expected to interpret country-specific economic, policy and political developments

• Delivering presentations and research reports both internally and externally

• In addition the candidate will be required to communicate the investment decisions and market developments to investors and other relevant parties

Skills requirements:

• Master’s degree in Economics or Finance

• The likes of the CFA or CAIA would be highly advantageous

• Sound knowledge of macroeconomics and finance

• Excellent presentation and communicational (oral and written) skills

• 4+ years’ experience in macroeconomic research

• Sound problem-solving skills

• Creative thinking

• Self-confident energetic.
