The Revenue eCommerce Team technical Analyst II will be responsible for the implementation and support of Partners Revenue eCommerce EDI applications and interfaces, including Compass the enterprise-wide initiative to implement a single set of patient administrative systems and revenue cycle processes with the existing suite of clinical applications across the Partners HealthCare System

The Primary Responsibilities will include maintaining and improving the Partners Revenue EDI eGateway, NEHEN Express Web Application, the support, scheduling, and writing of reports using Cyberquery, and the Compass project. The Revenue EDI eGateway is a middleware channel that channels Partners growing EDI volume. The NEHEN Express web application is used for submitting eligibility, claim status, and referral transactions real-time. It also transports claims and remittance, and report files to critical daily cash flow applications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The independent and proactive candidate will report to a Team Lead and work closely with the Finance Department and all Partners member institutions. In addition to having a solid understanding of EDI and related processes, s/he will:

• Implement EDI transactions
• Resolve EDI transaction issues with payers and clearing houses
• Support reporting tool, scheduler and create adhoc reports that support business processes
• Provide technical production support, frequently for middleware components and ftp processes
• Configure all applications
• Translate business specifications to technical requirements
• Payer liaison for all EDI/eCommerce Changes
• Have the ability to negotiate the products and deliverables of a project
• Create Work Breakdown Structures
• Independently create and execute test plans
• Provide on-call support as needed
• Advocate and Promote all ecommerce products
• Mentor team members
• Other tasks not specified

Additional responsibilities include providing support for other ecommerce products and projects as needed. The candidate will facilitate other IS groups as required by the project, ranging from some limited desktop support to coordinating the resources to implement a VPN tunnel.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in IS or related field preferred
• 5 or more years in IS healthcare environment, Registration, Insurance eligibility/authorization, and billing claims/remittances experience needed.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required

• EDI knowledge for the following transaction types: 270,271,276,277, 278, 835, and 837.
• Demonstrated SQL, and enterprise reporting application experience
• Knowledge of VB Scripting and Windows Scheduler
• Experience with Microsoft Office Product Suite
• Complete work assignments in accordance with an established project timeline. Informing manager(s) of issues requiring their direct attention.
• Proven project management knowledge, including ability to scope work, provide accurate time estimations and identify and mitigate risks required.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple projects and/or issues.
• Committed to high quality customer service.
• Prepare written materials for use in presentations, meetings and final project documentation.
• Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities in conjunction with developing/meeting project goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
