Corporate Communications Branding at UBS

The full scope of corporate communications includes all media relations, public relations, internal communications and issues management/reputation. The brand management aspects of the function encompass brand strategy design, global sponsorship advertising, and marketing control. , The Corporate Communications Branding team works closely with marketing communications staff also residing within each of the major businesses to deliver a consistent brand, marketing message and positioning.

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer APAC (CCO APAC), the successful candidate will provide speechwriting and other editorial support to communicate the global and regional strategies and priorities of senior management. The other key aspect of the position will be the ability to co-operate closely with other members of the corporate communications branding team in the region to support business-related communications across Asia Pacific.

The individual will be responsible for managing executive communications to various external and internal stakeholders in the region and to ensure that a strong reputation and a powerful profile is maintained with existing and potential clients, the public, the media, investors, employees and other specific stakeholders.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is likely to be an established corporate communications professional with 8+ years experience with wide exposure to different facets of communications in Asia Pacific markets. Specifically, experience in financial services, including wealth management, asset management, investment banking, insurance or retail financial services, is required. Candidates who have previously worked in financial services but have since moved into other industries will be considered. Given the global nature of the firm, the candidate should ideally have experience at some point in his/her career with a multi-national company.

Executive gravitas, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, is critical to the role. The candidate also will have excellent listening skills, credibility in the marketplace and demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and the ability to build enduring partnerships across organizational levels, geographies, functional divisions and lines of business.
