Job Description


Established in Boulder in 1977, Allegro Coffee Company is one of the countries leading specialty coffee roasters. As a member of our training team you will play a key role in helping Allegro share it's passion for coffee and tea, sourcing practices and exceptional brewing/barista skills in Whole Foods Stores across the country.

This position is responsible for execution of coffee and tea training programs in all channels of distribution including: espresso bars, bulk/in-store roasting, and packaged product while ensuring positive customer relations through positive promotion of all our products and training programs.

Responsibilities:
 Work cooperatively with Education and Training Manager to develop education and training programs with actionable tactics
 Implement educational and training programs for Allegro's internal team members, Allegro's Wholesale customers, WFM Regional Coffee Coordinators, WFM team members and WFM regional leadership
 Executes all education and training information in a dynamic and persuasive manner utilizing solid interpersonal skills and on-the-job training for successful transfer of knowledge
 Ensure maximum learning through repeatable, predictable systems and processes
 Continuous focus on building and refining personal presentation and technical skills to ensure delivery of effective and persuasive training programs
 Ensure implementation of Allegro's retail merchandising strategy
 Build and maintain positive, cooperative working relations with all Allegro teams.
 Meets performance standards and goals as determined by/with Education and Training Manager
 Maintain and manage records of educational and training activities
 Provide on-going feedback and insights on current programs and materials to determine overall effectiveness and use

Qualifications:
Specialty coffee and Barista experience required. Passion for artisan foods and specialty coffee a must. Must have strategic organizational skills and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of energy and passion for excellence. Must have excellent written and verbal skills allowing for presentation of materials and information in a clear concise manner. Knowledge of brewing standards, equipment, equipment maintenance and roasting procedures desirable. Previous management in a retail setting helpful. Prior experience in opening retail specialty store of grocery preferred. Must be flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing marketplace. Must be able to travel 60+% of the time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of Whole Foods Market a plus.
