Education and Training Strategy Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
· Contribute to introduce instructional design best practices within the Education and Training Strategy (ETS) team
· Work in the ETS team to produce training programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in the Global Vaccine Development (GVD) organization.
· Be the interface with the Procedural Document Group to identify and manage training needs.
· Contribute to and improve the deliverables of the ETS team with the following tasks:
Ø Identify development and training needs within the GVD organization (including areas such as clinical operation, medical affairs, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, ...).
Ø Develop and manage training programmes for GVD staff to ensure appropriate education on current new/updated Process Documents.
Ø Design, develop and improve Instructor-Led and eLearning training solutions based on organization’s needs.
Ø Write / develop Level 1, 2 and 3 evaluations.
Ø Manage training material of the organization.
Ø Work with external training providers to develop suitable training solutions.
Ø Collaborate with Training Assistants to ensure training programmes are effectively coordinated and implemented at departmental level.
Ø Organize, deliver or facilitate training sessions around specific GVD requirements within the organization.
Ø Develop and maintain role-based curricula for all GVD functions.
Ø Collaborate with quality managers in audit learning training.
Ø Ensure appropriate training documentation process.
Ø Ensure availability of training material and appropriate storage/archiving.
Ø Monitor, measure and report on staff training and development plans and achievements.
Ø Create and maintain interactions with other training groups and partners.
Ø Contribute to introduce innovative approaches to training delivery (including e-learning), new processes, technologies and systems relevant to training activities.
Ø Improve quality and efficiency of the training material and strategy currently available.
Ø Keep informed on regulation requirements impacting the GVD training organization.
Ø Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered.
Education / Experience:
Should have a proven instructional designer / developer experience creating innovative, engaging and effective training solutions.
Although education in a scientific field is not required, the candidate MUST feel at ease with scientific content as present in the pharmaceutical industry. (Our Education and Training Strategy team supports departments such as: Clinical operation, Medical Affairs, Clinical outsourcing, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory…)

· create engaging instructional materials for Instructor Led Trainings (ILT) and eLearning taking into account adult learning principles.
· interact with Subject Matter Experts, identify course goals and develop learning objectives that drive course design, ensuring content and outcomes are targeted to the specific needs of the audience.
· plan, coordinate the design and development of training courses including necessary reviews and approvals by the Subject Matter Experts.
· develop training project plans including timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
· develop and structure a training outline, storyboards including activities for engaging learning (quiz, exercises, …).
· able to turn a process into an engaging learning experience.
· ensure an appropriate visual design of PowerPoint slides / eLearning interfaces to make them clear, efficient and visually appealing.
· develop level 1 and 2 evaluations
· have a knowledge of interactive eLearning tools (such as Articulate presenter, Adobe presenter, Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint, …)
