Education Sales Consultant

Elsevier, the market leader in Health Science information, seeks an Education Sales / B2B Consultant based within the Lower Midwest United States, to include Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas to promote health science textbooks and electronic products to nursing, health science, medical professionals and corporate executives in private sector education companies. Education Sales Consultants must be able to identify customer needs through solution-based selling techniques and demonstrate the full value of the Elsevier suite of products. This position is responsible for establishing revenue increases and reaching sales goals by creating mutually beneficial relationships and partnering with customers in the assigned territory.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates must be self-driven, have excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and computer skills. The candidate must also possess the ability to develop and maintain lasting relationships with key decision makers and negotiate in a B2B environment. This position requires the demonstrated ability to create effective processes, above average skills in self-learning and the ability to juggle both sales and customer support requests. Evidence of top achievement in educational and professional endeavors is essential.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and above average prioritization skills are critical for this role. Health science/publishing experience is helpful, but not required. Candidates should have a genuine interest in health science education and the integration of technology into the educational arena. A Bachelor's Level Degree, a minimum of 2 years of sales experience, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record are required. Overnight travel varies, but is approximately 50% with the expectation to be onsite with campuses 50-75% of the time.
