EE Technician

Job Description Tests, troubleshoots, fabricates and repairs electronics for both commercial and military aerospace applications. Essential Functions may include: *Repairs, reworks and assembles electronic circuit boards, both surface mount and through- hole *Tests and troubleshoots electronic circuits and test equipment *Fabricates test equipment including harnesses and National Instruments *Interfaces with EEs to define test requirements and perform engineering tests *Provides technical support for existing products *Uses and helps procure lab equipment for team *Helps procure electronic parts and other equipment for the team *Documents function, design and test of electronic hardware and possibly software *Schematic capture, parts selection, board layout and prototyping of experimental hardware *Monitors own efforts and continuously improve *Regular attendance required. May be required to work beyond normal office hours, occasionally, to meet schedule commitments. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications: *High School Diploma required *Minimum of 5 years testing areospace systems *Ability to solder surface mount and through hole components to aerospace standards *Technical degree or certification preferred *Ability to fabricate test harnesses and test equipment *Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscope, LCR meter, DC power supply, signal generator, etc. *Ability to write documentation in Word and presentations in Power Point *Ability to detail design harnesses and test equipment with engineering direction/descriptions *Schematic capture is a strong plus *At least 5 years experience in assembly, troubleshooting and/or repair of airborne electronics *Knowledge of RTCA DO-160F and MIL-STD-810 requirements as applied to electronics *Experience in Lab View a plus *Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship *No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Orange County area (50 miles) will be considered for this position
