Effective Interest Rate Accountant
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join this large financial services client. This job will be based in Edinburgh and will offer the successful candidate a great opportunity to be involved with an organisation that is going through a lot of change at present. With new clients coming on-board and the development of a new centre of excellence this interim opportunity may lead to perm opportunities in the future.
This job sits within what is known as the "EIR Team" EIR is short for effective interest rate and we are ideally looking for candidates who have experience in this area. The team where the job sits are responsible for the calculation of bond amortisation. This will include the validation of standing data, adjustments and advising valuations of the postings to the in-house fund accounting system. All this needs to be done in a timely and accurate basis.
The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge of IMA, SORP and "EIR". If you are a qualified accountant or have the IAQ/IOC qualification this would be looked upon very favourably. Good communication skills coupled with a highly numerate background would be seen as essential in this role.
