eFX Trading Support Analyst - SQL Oracle Windows eFX ETS - Investment Bank

FX Support Analyst with mathematical or IT background is preferred. Experience of SQL Server, Oracle. Knowledge of using Windows NT and Windows 2000/Windows 2003.

Aware of existence of used technologies:
TCP/IP, TIBCO RV, MQSeries, CVS and other Middleware, C++, Java, C#/.NET etc.

Scripting:
Windows commands, Unix shells. Awareness of Market Data mechanisms. Able to work under pressure in a changing environment. Capability to cope calmly with stressed users facing system issues. Must be able to investigate and resolve issues in the short term (workaround/setting up procedure) and longer term (participate to the definition of proper fix).

Role;
The FX eTrading Support team handles connections to FX markets (Reuters, EBS, Bloomberg, Currenex, CME ) A mix of internal and vendor solutions is used. The FX eTrading Support team is also doing FX Order support, FX Market Taking, FX Hedger Support and other system initiatives such as more connectivity, client APIs, algorithmic trading, low latency pricing.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
The team looks after the Europe based users (mainly marketers, traders Middle Office), and fits within a global support organisation with other teams based in New York and Singapore. First line support on FX Electronic Trading Systems and Order Management systems as a whole. Account manager (Specialisation in a sub set of the systems).

On the systems concerned this involves:
Main point of contact of developers and infrastructure teams involved. Responsible of training FX Support teams worldwide. Close-up following of incidents. Close-up following of changes to be able to communicate key points to the team globally. Involvement with, End users, Software providers for outsourced systems Developers, Remote site support, IT Production/Infrastructure Group, DBA, Market Data, Networks, Windows Server, Business Analysts, Testers, Etc. Small projects (automation, environment housekeeping, configuration changes). System checks (Morning checks, Sunday checks). Application Monitoring. Configuration, Change, Release management.
