Responsibities:
Applies existing health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with the established company, state, local, and federal regulations which may include CERCLA, CAA and RCRA. Plans and administers training programs in accident and fire prevention and protection, and other employee safety procedures. Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations regarding the workplace environment. Coordinates treatment storage and/ or disposal of hazardous waste. Maintains required environmental operation procedures to ensure company and employee awareness, comprehension and adherence to approved health, safety and environmental practices. Prepares and distributes educational materials and information, audits company facilities, and recommends actions for the correction of hazardous situations for compliance with OSHA regulations. Completes OSHA reports whenever necessary.
Requirement:
- To Ensure EHS function
- Ensure total awareness of EHS system among all employees
- Compile and publish EHS performance parameters globally
- Coordinate with other functions on overall EHS performance matrix
- Safety Ergo audits and implementation of desired standards
- Coordinate for ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000 audits – Internal External
- Review and maintain EHS requirement
- Train upgrade knowledge level of existing and new employees
- Organize reviews and close the gaps
Educational Qualification:
B.Sc / M.Sc in Environment science or Master of Environment Management (M.E.M), Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety Diploma in ISO 14000.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of ISO 14000 OHSAS 18000 Systems
- Legal / Statutory requirements related to Factory Act and Operations, Environment Protection Act
- Process Knowledge
