This Federal Department are responsible for a variety of key portfolios that affect the Australian community particularly youth and citizens most in need. A group within the department operate to ensure effective delivery and compliance of a wide spread national program. This program is of a high profile nature relating to supporting youth within the education system.

This group is establishing a new taskforce that is requires an EL1 to help manage the national program and work to integrate major changes to the overall framework for the purpose of process improvement. A key element to this project is engagement with the State Governments to ensure negotiations of outcomes are in the best interest for the Australian public. Therefore previous experience in Federal/State relations will ensure you can effectively represent both agendas and achieve buy in from all parties.

You will regularly prepare ministerial responses and cabinet briefings, liaise and support key stakeholders and your effective interpersonal skills will ensure you achieve this. With strong conceptual problem solving and analytical skills, you will have the capacity to source appropriate legal and corporate advice as required and summarise key issues to present information to a range of audiences.
