eLearning Specialist

Responsibilities:
Position Overview
The eLearning Specialist will be accountable for developing professional state-of-the-art eLearning courses in support of TE's eLearning Center of Excellence (COE) strategy. Success will hinge on the specialist's ability to effectively partner with the rest of the Learning Development (LD) team, subject matter experts (SME), eLearning subcontractors and an extended network of internal resources.

Basic Functions
This position will:
- Provide project management for subcontracted eLearning courses
- Use technical, product, industry and instructional design knowledge to convert subject matter expert input into effective, audience-appropriate eLearning courses.
Key Accountabilities
Duties related to the eLearning COE include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with appropriate business and functional units to analyze and prioritize eLearning needs.
- Maintain and prioritize an assigned eLearning projects list.
- Project manage eLearning course development using the ADDIE development model.
- Coordinate resources including subject matter experts, Extended Development Team members and other resources as required.
- Develop design documents and storyboards for eLearning modules.
- Apply TE's eLearning quality guidelines to all eLearning modules for learning effectiveness.
- Maintain various databases such as vendor tracking, project tracking, metrics, and benchmarking database for eLearning projects.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a related field is required with a Masters in Instructional Technology preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in developing eLearning programs (experience with technical content a plus).
- Has experience with current graphics, sound, video and authoring tools (E.g.: Flash, HTML, JavaScript and XML).
- Has experience with rapid development tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate).
- Has ability to visualize graphics, animations, and interactive exercises
- Has experience building eLearning courses within an LMS.
- Knowledge of AICC and SCORM specifications.
- Knowledge of eLearning standards and development processes.
- Flexibility and adaptability to ambiguous or changing situations.
