Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description Electrical power generation client is currently seeking Electrical Design Engineers to provide electrical engineering support for the planning, design, implementation closeout of Tornado / HELB projects at the Oconee Nuclear Station (ONS) in Seneca, SC. These are CONTRACT positions. This project is scheduled through July 31, 2012. Local candidates preferred but per diem may be available for highly qualified candidates. These positions may require 12 hour shifts 5 days per week for extended periods. Responsibilities Provide major project design solutions to resolve plant operational challenges equipment obsolescence issues Ensure coordination of design inputs from the plant systems component engineering organizations and operational maintenance considerations to facilitate optimal design solutions Provide expertise to recognize resolve complex engineering / technical problems also recognize when additional expertise or technical experience is required Perform the necessary task to be qualified to the ETQS activities for Engineers in Major Projects under the accredited population Requirements Must have recent (within last 3 years) "hands-on" direct design work at an operating nuclear station Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from accredited university, 8 or more years of experience in an operating nuclear station or related role. Registered PE desired Experience designing electrical power systems or components Previous plant modification experience Previous design implementation support of the electrical portion of large modifications to a nuclear station is desired Benefits Paid Vacation 401K Health Insurance, and more...
