Role Synopsis Baker Hughes is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team in Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Works primarily in Electrical engineering in product development design, sustaining, or RD Plans and conducts research, design and development of standard engineering assignments Assignments can be a significant portion of a larger project Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications May be the lead engineer on smaller project with some functional supervision Assists in project planning and review Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity Assignments are reviewed for overall soundness and adherence to stated objectives Handles special projects, as assigned Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 2+yrs experience or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and 1+ yrs experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering Embedded systems programming experience Experience with High Temperature electronics DSP (Digital signal processing) experience Experience with new product design Oil and Gas Industry experience preferred but not required Company Overview Baker Hughes serves the worldwide oil and natural gas industry with reservoir consulting and products and services for drilling, formation evaluation, completion and production.
