Responsibilities - Primary design responsibility for various electrical systems and DCD deliverables. - Close coordination and communication with NSSS supplier will be required. - Coordination and interface with other discipline engineers. Other responsibilities may include: - Engineering calculations including short circuit analysis, load flow analysis, motor starting analysis - Prepare electrical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual designs - Assist the Lead Engineer in planning, scheduling, analyzing scope, budgeting reviewing and coordinating design efforts with other project personnel - Research and analyze data such as EPC contract, customer RFP, KPE professional services agreements, specifications, manuals, and other information - Work with client and/or contractor to coordinate the resolution of problems, reviewing engineering progress, etc. - Design activities to include one-lines, three-lines, and other electrical deliverables. - Development of electrical equipment specifications. - Electrical equipment supplier bid evaluations. - Production of control schematics and wiring interconnections. - Assigns projects and tasks to drafters, designers and other engineers. Reviews work progress and results. Qualifications - 7 years experience in electrical system engineering on commercial nuclear power plant projects. - Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Nuclear. - PE preferred. - DCD production engineering experience is a plus.
