Electrical Engineer (Greeville, SC) Job in Greenville, South Carolina US
The position will include aspects of design, analysis, and manufacturing. Electrical engineers support the processes and equipment in the manufacturing facility by designing, specifying, purchasing and constructing electrical systems (PLC, Automation) and components. Engineers are expected to spend a fair amount of time in hands-on activities. Interaction with all levels of employees will be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position includes roles as a designer and project manager in a manufacturing facility, supporting efforts to design, build, install, maintain, and modify our manufacturing equipment.

Create initial designs, conduct vendor/contractor management, and oversee installation and startup of projects that range from simple modifications of existing machinery to large-scale expansion projects.

Have hands-on involvement with equipment and processes by being available to the operators and maintenance personnel and gaining intimate knowledge of the process.

Provide technical expertise in the maintenance, modification and installation of equipment and machinery in the tire manufacturing process.

Take part in all electrical related components to include: Various types of sensors, Controls(PLC), Motors, Drives, Power Distribution, Vision Systems and Robotics.

Spend time in all facets of project management including: Economic justification, design, vendors/procurement, installation, start-up, and training.
- Travel 25-50% as needed to support capital projects at Michelin facilities (primarily US facilities, but some international travel may be required)

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS Electrical Engineering (or technical equivalent)
- Three to seven years experience as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with programming PLCs in a design role (preferably Allen Bradley PLCs and components)
- Experience with Hardware Design (utilizing AutoCad for Panel Designs, etc).
- Experience with: lighting, controls components, process instrumentation, and discrete devices.
- Experience with: the maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to travel 25-50% as needed to support capital projects at Michelin Facilities (primarily US travel, but some international travel may be required)
