-- Job Title:Electrical Engineer- Hurlburt, FL Description: Title: Electrical Engineer- Hurlburt, FL Location: USA-Florida-Hurlburt Other Locations: L3 STRATIS has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Aircraft / Vehicle Communications Electrical Engineer. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization and will be located near Fort Walton Beach, FL. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for applying Electrical Engineering principals to help develop and integrate aircraft / vehicle communications systems. **This position is contingent on contract award.** The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both internal and external executive leadership and will report directly to the Systems Engineer Team Lead. The successful candidate will be able to understand and apply Electrical engineering principals and methods to integrate and ensure interoperability of components and subcomponents associated to communications systems on aircraft and vehicles. This includes the ability to develop overall system power, weight, size, and interface requirements. Required: * Be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance AND meet the requirements of DCID 6/4. * Accredited through an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology * Evidence of successfully passing the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) examination or completion of 60 semester hours of courses in Physical, Mathematical, and Engineering Sciences * 12 or more years of professional work experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. * 8 or more years experience in management of projects/tasks similar in scope and requirements to current program * Knowledge of multiple WAN, LAN, and IT technologies; knowledge of standard software application programs * Experience supporting engineering requirements for the DoD organizations * Strong communication and presentation skills; strong skills documenting procedures and systems Desired: * Strong Project Management skills * Lean Six Sigma training or equivalent * Project Management Professional Certification * Military background and Experience with Special Operations We offer a competitive benefits package to include: paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long and short term disability and company paid life insurance, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, referral bonuses and tuition reimbursement.
