Electrical Engineer I

Summary: An entry-level electrical engineer performs routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard design engineering techniques, adherence to electrical engineering procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. General EE background with familiarity in at least two of the following areas: computer architecture, digital and analog video systems design, VMEbus architecture, or familiarity with computer networks. Coordinates and performs various activities and functions associated with designs such as drafting, checking, documentation management, engineering release, parts screening and verification, internal/external customer interfacing and procurement. Required Skills: Basic computer skills (e.g., word processing, internally developed software, creation of user libraries, etc ?¦). Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and possess good leadership skills. Must possess effective organizational skills applicable to the management of engineering documentation and documentation of design change activity during the development phase. Ability to demonstrate innovative and creative design approaches. Required: Education: Requires a Bachelor ??s Degree in electrical engineering, math, computer science, or physics. Demonstrated internship in an engineering environment is required. Must be able to secure a Government-issued security clearance.
