Prepare technical drawings and specifications of electrical distribution products and services. Define, assess and confer with customers and others technical experts to develop and modify engineered projects and products, ensuring that the products meet customer and market standards and requirements. Work with internal teams and customers to design improved specifications for technical products, and perform detailed calculations to ensure standards are met. Utilizing deep technical knowledge of engineering products and projects, maximize GE technical presence and provide thought leadership showing technical excellence across projects and products. Drive new product acceptance to the technical community through developing exceptional products and knowledge of the industry and standards. Promote adoption of highly technical products using detailed technical knowledge of the products as well as the industry. Operate computer assisted engineering and design software programs. Report and translate electrical engineering concepts (technical and code related) developed in the field back into the product management team for implementation. Work with a multi-disciplinary team to prepare and provide specifications, drawings and technical calculations to support the required project designs. Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial/industrial use. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), plus 3 years of related experience with electrical equipment. Demonstrated experience in the following is required: 1) Industrial and/or electrical distribution products; 2) Commercial experience in the electrical equipment field; including sales, product management, marketing, technology, or military; and; 3) Knowledge of practical application of engineering technology.
