To monitor, regulate and control all battery manufacturing processes including oxide manufacturing, salvage, remelt, quality or air and water and waste disposal. Operates with minimum direction to control plant manufacturing processes. Ownership and understanding of plant and department metrics. Performs varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised.
- Monitors new processes, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to specifications is met before releasing new processes to production.
- Directs implementation of process changes, and installation of any new equipment.
- Corroborates with plant Quality Control and manufacturing personnel to ensure that processes are equipment produce a product that meets Quality Control and Engineering standards.
- Reviews new and modified specification for proper content, and controls timely introduction of same into the manufacturing system.
- Audits compliance to new specifications.
- Elimination of reoccurring downtime through engineering changes and improvements.
- Prioritization and implementation of capital and non-capital projects.
- Six-Sigma project support and the investigation and rollout of projects completed outside Geneva.
- Lead value mapping exercises and understand process mapping methodology to establish "should be" layouts that eliminate labor, inventory, safety and visual management barriers.
- Daily interaction with employees, maintenance and leadership team in understanding plant focus and barriers to performance.
- Performs special studies and analyses at request of plant or Division Management.
- Overtime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- May be required to work other shifts as needed.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

- BS Electrical Engineering required
- Strong in PLC - understand and use program logic
- Basic programming
- 3 plus years of experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
